Grandfather and Grandmother Chairs

Both chairs were stripped of all the old padding and re-glued with some attention to the polish. These two were restored with Diamond Buttoned backs which had originally been a plain design. They were finished off with a Gimp Braid to cover the materials used to attach the fabric. Twin piping sewn up in the corresponding fabric can be an added feature to your furniture.

Antique Slipper Chair

This Antique Slipper Chair was stripped of its old fabric and padding. One of the legs needed to be replaced with a new one because wood grub had damaged parts of the leg. It shows the marking for the Diamond Buttoning and then the chair in its finished form.

Wing Chair

This Wing Chair as shown in a series of photos, needed to be completely restored due to years of other tradesmen putting new fabric over old without much attention to re-padding. Covered in a black leather and finished off with spaced studding it became quite a comfortable chair once more.

Wing Chair Complete Restoration

This chair was in need of a complete restoration. It was stripped right back to the frame so as the arms and seat could be brought up to a more traditional look. The arms were re-padded with new foam and the seat had extra webbing attached for a stronger base. It is recommended that most chairs have there seat cushions replaced as this one did. Most foam’s lose there bounce after a number of years if ENDURO foam was not used. This foam has a lifetime guarantee on it. A Warwick Fabric small check design was put on this Wing Chair which made it a very comfortable chair to sit in again.

Edwardian Wing Chair

This Edwardian wing chair was covered in a Indian cotton that became quite faded over a couple years due to direct sunlight. The polished timber was freshened up and a new seat foam was inserted. The fabric is a Warwick Fabric check design. All the piping was cut on the bias to give the chair a more stylish finish.
